Here's What to Expect On Your First Visit with Us
From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted with a friendly smile. Our front desk team is here to help you feel at ease—assisting with check in, answering any questions, and making sure your visit starts smoothly.
If it’s your first time with us, we’ll take a few moments to review your medical and dental history so we can provide the best possible care. We’ll also make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed in our welcoming office environment every step of the way.
Comprehensive Exam & Cleaning
Your visit begins with a gentle yet thorough dental cleaning. We carefully remove plaque and tartar, polish your teeth, and review your brushing and flossing habits to support your oral health at home.
Following your cleaning, Dr. Marando will perform a comprehensive oral exam, evaluating your teeth, gums, bite, and any existing restorations. As part of this exam, we also conduct an oral cancer screening to check for any early signs of concern, helping ensure your overall health and peace of mind.
Digital X-Rays & Diagnostic Tools
To get a complete picture of your oral health, we may take low-radiation digital X-rays. These images help us detect concerns that aren’t visible during a visual exam, such as cavities between teeth, bone loss, or impacted teeth.
If needed, we may also use an intra-oral camera to give you a clear, up-close view of your teeth and gums, so you can better understand your oral health and any recommended treatments.
Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on your exam and X-ray results, Dr. Marando will walk you through any
findings and discuss recommended treatments, if needed. We take the time to
clearly explain your options and answer any questions you may have.
